Here are my current thoughts on A.I. - by which I mean, deep neural networks. The more I work with technologies such as transformer networks (such as LLMs), convolutional networks and the like, the more impressed I am with them.

The technology is evolving super-fast, it’s hard to keep up with the latest developments!

I am excited by the possibilities. I think that these deep learning neural networks will totally transform the world. That said, I think that we as humans may find the changes deeply traumatic. I think that in all probability, the world will become more unequal, with gains going in ever increasing amounts to the rich. This, in turn, will lead to more conflict.
